I had the opportunity to perform for Chinese New Year celebration for the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce last night at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Union City. I had a lot of fun putting this show together.
I opened with my color thief cloak, then transitioned into my Lantern Dance with the LED Isis wings. Next came the hula hoop and I finished with my first live performance using the brand new Supernova poi.
The supernova poi went over really well — I added images featuring the animals from the Chinese Zodiac, and I could hear everyone in the audience calling out the animals as they appeared. It was a fun show.
I invited Phil Burgess so he could see the show, and he captured some incredible images! Photographing LEDs in motion is really hard.. I wouldn’t be surprised if Phil is better at this than almost anyone else in the world. 🙂
