I was invited to perform part of my light dancing show at GlowCon 2016.
GlowCon describes itself as “an LED convention and party celebrating everything that glows. An electrical forest of cutting-edge LED technology and art.”
It was a day-long event at NWBLK in San Francisco that featured speakers, artists, artisans and performers, all centered around passion for LED technology. My light-up costumes and props fit right in:
I had a wonderful time on the stage, but even more fun wandering around and watching the other performers and experiencing the LED artwork all around me and meeting the other makers.
I got to meet Tenaya Hurst from Rogue Making and see some of the stuff she’s doing, bringing LED maker-ing to kids. Super exciting stuff, that.
There was a glowing fashion show too, which is always a delight — I love watching what other makers are doing with fashion and LEDs. (One of these days I’ll be organized enough to get some of my designs onstage).
I feel so lucky to be in the San Francisco area, surrounded by so many inspirational makers.
