My company, Fire Pixie Entertainment, was selected to perform at the ISES NCC Gala in San Francisco this year. The theme was Bright Lights, Big Glam and I got all excited at the opportunity to bring out all my LED costumes, dress up all my gorgeous dancers, and light the place up.
We had 6 performers, 29 arduino microcontrollers, 2 phoenix hula hoops, one brand-new pair of Adafruit’s Genesis poi (painting the ISES logo in the air with POV), FlowToys pod poi, and lots of my creations. We brought out both sets of LED Isis Wings, the Venetian Color Thief, and silver handmade head-to-toe costumes including light up Cyber wigs, ReBoots and a Sparkle Skirt with fiber optic hip scarf and Mermaid Glimmer’s LED seashell bra. Everyone had an LED necklace too, and the Dotstar Belly Dance fans also made an appearance.
I counted, and we had 1,324 LEDs blinking on that stage. 🙂
