I love her so much.
I got inspired to make a paper mache dragon by Dan Reeder, who writes amazingly delightful books about making paper mache dragons.
I had way too much fun with this project. Of course I had to add lights, and a baby dragon egg too. I used a real ostrich egg for this. Did you know you can buy ostrich eggs on Amazon? We live in the future.

She’s made from paper, glue, flour, and fimo clay with LEDs and has a Circuit Playground Express inside. We call her Mathilda, and the baby inside the egg is Eggbert. 🙂
Take a look at the tutorial to see all the juicy details about how I added the lights! She’s also got a capacitive touch on/off switch made from copper tape.. just touch the tape rune and she switches on and off. She sometimes comes on all by herself, during windstorms or when lightning strikes nearby.
Also watch this amazing cinematic dragon video that Darrell created. Watch with the sound on! The cinematic score is the best part.
